What a fabulous time we had on the Kangaroo Island trip in March. Lots of memorable sights and experiences, good company, great tour leading by Flick, and superb food prepared by Flick! The highlight would be staying in the cottages on the edge of Flinders Chase National Park….superb views of the ocean to wake up to in the morning and enjoy in the evening.

What a fantastic trip to The Flinders Ranges we did last Oct 2017. Flick provided us with interesting commentaries along the way, whipped up lunches and one evening a home cooked meal under the stars complete with tablecloth. The accommodation was top rate especially at Arkaroola and Wilpena Pound. My favourite experience was the Ridgetop Tour which is included in the cost. Our guides knowledge of the geological formations of the Ranges was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this trip, our host Flick was fabulous and nothing too much trouble including ice creams at Woolshed Flat the halfway point on the Pichi Richi Railway train. As we leave Adelaide behind us today and head south east we wanted to thank you for your fantastic exposure of the outback of South Australia: for your friendliness, your acceptance of all types of people, your outgoing personality and happy laughter! We, as a group, started out all in our own little boxes but, within a very short time, we were all in one box together absorbing the wealth of your knowledge of the inland and it’s people – thank you Flick for your efforts. The itinerary with its punctuality, the tremendously healthy food and the wonderful pre-arranged accommodation all made up for a trip worthwhile travelling overland for almost 2000km’s to join. Loved every minute of our 5 day tour with Flick and Rita! These guys are such fun, and couldn’t do enough for us. All our attraction visits were great! We loved seeing the opal mine in Coober Pedy, and staying at the William Creek Hotel grounds including flying over Lake Eyre and the Painted Hills! This was such good value, and we would love to tour with Australian Iconic Tours again! They even give you ‘Frequent Flick Points’ on your next tour! Do yourself a favour and give these guys a go!

Just got back from an eight day trip to the Eyre Peninsula with Australian Iconic Tours and am so happy with the service. We have just completed a 10 day Family expedition to Kangaroo island. They totally made our trip exciting and made us feel all welcome. We had kids as young as 7yrs old to the oldest Adult 65+. Full of knowledge and helpful for all of us. Great company.

I joined the team in Adelaide for the outback Tour culminating for me in Alice Springs. This was my first time on an organised tour and I cannot speak too highly of the organisation and the friendliness of Flick and Diane. I had a wonderful time in good company. Last week I returned from seven wonderful days on the Australian Iconic Tours Murray River Cruise with 9 friends. Diana from Australian Iconic Tours was so helpful and obliging with the planning beforehand and all arrangements went very smoothly. During the week Flick and Marion navigated the river very professionally and organised activities to keep us as busy as we wanted to be …..canoeing, fishing, walks, visiting tourist attractions and joining us for playing cards. We enjoyed delicious gourmet food and wines cooked and chosen by Flick and special attention was given to all dietary requirements. Both Marion and Flick looked after our every need as well as being wonderful travelling companions. I had a great time and would recommend this cruise wholeheartedly. #smiles

Just a short note to say thank you for a truly memorable experience that we had on our Lake Eyre tour. The effort that you put into organising and running this tour ensured that everything went smoothly, we were fed well, saw great country and travelled in relative comfort on some pretty rough roads. We also had a good group of people. This was our first experience of a group tour and we really enjoyed it. We will have no hesitation in recommending Australian Iconic Tours to anyone we think may be interested in the tours that you do. We have just returned with a group of 15 from a guided trip in the Flinders. I noticed that all the reviews are very positive and it is all true. Flick is an amazing guide..She very aware of the pacing each day and is flexible with weather and interests. I also note that all the reviews are written by Australians. We were the odd couple out being Canadians. We couldn’t have been more welcomed and we all had a lot of fun. Even though it poured on us on the Akaroola Ridge top tour it just added to the drama of the tour. We did do the Wilpena Pound optional flight which we would recommend. Some of the meals were provided by Flick and they were delicious. This trip will appeal to those who want to be informed about the histroy and have some chance to experience the countryside. The meals were good and the accommodation comfortable. Train buffs will like this tour. Thanks Flick. This will be one of the highlights of our 2 months travelling around Australia.

Hi Flick and ladies!!! The Lake Eyre trip was our first ever bus tour and from pick up to set down in Adelaide, it was five days of good company, good food(catering very good) and as everyone on the bus got on well there was a lot of laughing going on. Loved the outback, Angorichina Village was a pleasant surprise in the middle of nowhere and the iconic towns like Blinman and Marree where delightful.The Lake Eyre fly over on a sunny morning was awesome. The trip was one of the best holidays we have had. What can we say about our tour guide, driver, caterer, counsellor, diplomat not to mention DIY expert??? You are a star. Shine on!

Very well organised and operated. We had nothing to complain about with this tour. The contact before the tour was excellent and everything on tour was great. The idea of breakfast boxes for each booking was a good idea and contained everything you needed for a continental breakfast and more. We had good meals in the evening at restaurants or hotels and lunch along the way. When the roads were closed our tour operator immediately booked flights into and out of William Creek. Other operators were not so quick.We had a great time and will be looking at other tours with Australian Iconic Tours.

The 7 day trip to Arkaroola was fantastic. Loved the ruggedness of the Flinders Ranges and the stay in Arkaroola village for 4 nights was so peaceful. Ridge top tour and walks so enjoyable, Flick cooked us beaut meals and our group of just 5 got on really well and we got to ride in Bette, Flicks 4WD 7 seater! Great organisation and itineraries from this small company. Will go on another trip with them for sure.

Right from our pre-tour conversations/emails, the professionalism and proficiency of those behind Australian Iconic Tours became very evident. We did the Lake Eyre tour and the small group size was an advantage in all becoming very quickly known. The tour was extremely well organised, coordinated and executed. Flick particularly ensured the individual needs were recognised and addressed – qualities not always evident in today’s world. Just when we thought we had seen it all, Flick would spring another exhilarating surprise location and this occurred on a daily basis. All of the accommodation was comfortable and the meals were well balanced, plentiful and nutritious. Daily driving times were calculated to maximise time at the various sites and daylight arrival at the accommodation venue. The included flight over Lake Eyre was a highlight. Flick and Mandy exhibited an outstanding knowledge of local history and culture, this attribute significantly contributed to our enjoyment of the tour. Through her leadership and example, Flick maintained the groups high spirit: there were numerous incidents of laughter. We very highly recommend Australian Iconic Tours and we thank Flick, Diana and Mandy for a fantastic experience, very much appreciated.
