Australian Iconic Tours had to cancel many tours in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid19 border closures. Every Single Traveller has received a Full Refund of all payments made.

We, Australian Iconic Tours, are not handling the situation any different in the future.

Tour Cancellation Policy (Terms & Conditions)

When you book a Tour with Australian Iconic Tours we want you to be totally satisfied with the arrangements so that you will book with us again in the future. To avoid misunderstandings you should be in no doubt as to the commitments we have to you and, in turn, the obligations you have to us. Listed below are a number of important points which we would like you to read carefully. None of the terms or conditions are intended to contravene or contradict with The Australian Consumer Law.

General

If you wish to cancel your tour, for whatever reason, you must let us know as soon as possible. This can be done on the phone or in writing. Cancellation will be effective at the time notification is received by Australian Iconic Tours.

If You Cancel Your Tour

If you cancel your tour for any reason we will be forced to apply our cancellation charges at the following rates:

Full Refund = Cancellation made 91 days or more prior tour departures

50% Refund = Cancellation made within 90 – 61 days prior tour departures

No Refund = Cancellation made within 60 days prior tour departures

———————————————————————————————————————

No Refund = Cancellation made within 90 days of the following tour departures

  • Extended Private Charter Tours

*Some private charters may have a different cancellation policy due to the suppliers terms and conditions. It then is clearly written on your groups tax invoice.

———————————————————————————————————————

If you have made a payment by credit card, we incur bank charges which cannot be recovered. Credit card fees are non- refundable.

If Australian Iconic Tours is able to resell your seat, we will refund the amount of what your tour ticket was sold for (example last minute price to fill your spot). We may have other people on the waiting list to join your tour.

Australian Iconic Tours recommends to our passengers to have personal travel insurance.

It can cover the loss or damage to your personal items, illness or injury while on tour or short notice cancellation on your part. Travel insurance may also cover you before and after our tour. Having no travel insurance can get very cost intensive and it is better to travel with a good peace of mind. Australian Iconic Tours has no affiliation with any travel insurance and cannot give any advise on which insurance company to use.

Should you cancel your tour due to medical reasons , you may be able to reclaim cancellation charges, if the reason for cancellation is covered by your travel insurance. Australian Iconic Tours cannot advice you on how to make your claim. You must deal directly with your Insurance Company. We will send you a Cancellation Confirmation.

If any person with whom you are sharing a room should cancel, and you wish to continue with your holiday as planned, we will make every effort to transfer you to a suitable room, if available. If this is not possible, or if this results in any additional charges, we reserve the right to pass on these charges to you.

If, after booking your tour, you are prevented from travelling and wish to transfer the booking to another person, Australian Iconic Tours will agree as long as the other person satisfies all the conditions applicable to the package, and subject to both persons accepting joint and several liabilities for full payment of the package price.

Australian Iconic Tours has the well-being of all travellers in mind.

If you are unwell before joining the tour or on the morning of departure, it is your obligation to disclose any pre-existing medical or other condition that may affect the risk that either you or any other person will suffer injury, loss or damage.

A number of tours take us on dirt road tracks to remote locations and emergency assistance may take several hours to arrive. If you are unwell, travelling can make an illness or condition worse.

If you suffer any injury or illness, Australian Iconic Tours may provide evacuation, first aid and medical treatment at your expense. By joining our tour, you accept these terms and conditions and consent to such evacuation, first aid and/or medical treatment.

Requests for changing the booking to another departure date within the Full Refund Terms  will incur no amendment fee.

Requests for changing the booking to another departure date within the No Refund Terms  will be treated as a cancellation.

If We Change or Cancel Your Tour

Despite subsection, if, because of circumstances reasonably beyond Australian Iconic Tours’ control, goods or a service (“the unavailable component”) are unavailable when required to be provided under the package, Australian Iconic Tours must:

  • provide, as far as reasonably practicable, goods or a service of a similar type, value and quality as the unavailable component or
  • if Australian Iconic Tours cannot reasonably comply with an alternative, refund the cost of the unavailable component
  • However, if goods or a service of a similar type, value and quality are unavailable, Australian Iconic Tours may, with the informed consent of the tourist who purchased the travel package, substitute other goods or another service of similar value
